Laser treatment for spider veins.

What this treatment entails:

Many people have spider veins on their legs. Although they are usually harmless, they can sometimes be perceived as annoying. In our surgery, we offer you a solution for your spider veins and varicose veins.

WHAT ARE SPIDER VEINS?

Spider veins are the weaker form of varicose veins and look like small, web-like branches. They occur predominantly on women’s legs.

HOW ARE SPIDER VEINS TREATED?

To treat spider veins and other vascular changes, we use a laser beam to penetrate the skin from the outside. The haemoglobin absorbs the laser, heating the blood strongly. The resulting inflammation inside the blood vessel damages it, leading to its disappearance. This takes longer with large vessels than with shorter, smaller vessels.

If the vessels are large and bluish, the area must be cooled. Conversely, cooling is not effective for reddish vessels, as these types of vessels would contract, thus negating the effect. The skin is then scanned with the laser, which causes a slight tingling sensation. Anaesthesia is therefore usually not necessary. Treatment generally takes 20-30 minutes, depending on the size. Any crusts that appear should not be removed.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NECESSARY?

The number of treatments depends on the size and the extent of the skin lesion. In most cases, results are already visible after the first session.

HOW MUCH DOES THE TREATMENT COST?

The duration of the treatment depends on many different factors and is very individual. We would be happy to invite you to a preliminary consultation, during which we will carry out a diagnostic survey of the area to be treated and discuss all eventualities. Based on this, we can create an individual treatment plan including a list of all costs.

Do not hesitate to contact us for a consultation.
